Market View
Today’s focus is the connection between institutional XRP ownership and the infrastructure that could put liquidity to work. Evernorth has cleared its shareholder vote, while RippleX has outlined a revised lending design. Both developments advance the story, but the next meaningful evidence is execution: a completed transaction, activated amendments and measurable use.
Signal stack
Armada shareholders approved the Evernorth business combination on 30 September. The company expects closing on 7 October and Nasdaq trading under XRPN on 8 October, subject to remaining conditions. Approximately 473 million XRP are expected at closing. The vote moves the proposed treasury vehicle closer to becoming a publicly traded route to XRP exposure.
The transaction includes approximately $300 million in gross cash proceeds, alongside XRP contributed in kind. The headline value therefore cannot be treated as equivalent fresh buying on exchanges. Evernorth’s stated ambition to increase XRP per share also makes dilution, financing costs and liabilities central to assessing future performance. A larger treasury alone does not establish better economics for each shareholder.
RippleX’s LendingProtocolV1_1 proposal introduces closed-ended vaults with subscription, investment and redemption stages. It also changes accounting so interest is recognised when received, rather than booking all expected interest upfront. The design still requires activation of LendingProtocolV1_1, LendingProtocol and SingleAssetVault. These are proposed capabilities, with credit assessment remaining offchain and loan execution handled onchain.

Globally, expanding stablecoin supply alongside contracting weekly DEX volume suggests that additional capital is not yet translating into stronger spot turnover.

Project of the Day
Fluid combines lending and trading through a shared liquidity layer, allowing collateral and debt positions to support its exchange architecture. The product has measurable usage: DefiLlama reports $975.61 million TVL, $760.49 million in active loans and approximately $590,562 in protocol revenue over 30 days.
FLUID is a governance token with approximately 83.7 million circulating against a 100 million maximum supply. Fluid Reserve provides a mechanism for revenue-funded buybacks, but allocations depend on governance; DefiLlama currently records zero holder revenue over the latest 30 days. Historical buybacks should therefore be distinguished from verified current distributions.
The operating business merits attention, while token economics require continued scrutiny. Most of the reported treasury consists of FLUID itself, limiting its usefulness as evidence of liquid runway. Exchange order-book depth is also modest. The watchpoints are sustained revenue, observable buybacks and liquidity sufficient to support participation without excessive price impact.
Three separate developments deserve separate scorecards: Evernorth’s proposed public-market vehicle, XRPL’s lending amendments and the network’s stablecoin balances. Progress in one does not prove adoption in another.
For Evernorth, watch closing and subsequent XRP-per-share disclosures. For lending, watch amendment activation and actual loan activity. For RLUSD, watch whether larger balances lead to sustained use. There is currently no established evidence that Evernorth will deploy through this specific lending structure.
