Ripple connects XRP lending to its payments business
At XRP Seoul, Ripple President Monica Long said the company is conducting credit pilots targeted for activation next year. The proposed model could connect Ripple payment customers to XRPL lending pools, with pooled XRP potentially used as collateral to support customer payment funding. This materially advances the story covered in Issue 022. The earlier development concerned XRPL's proposed lending architecture; today's update is that Ripple itself is exploring how that infrastructure could plug into its payments business. It remains a pilot, not production usage. The lending amendments still need activation and there is no disclosed volume yet.
